it can even do add math.

Whats new?
It can do solution of triangle.
Rate of change of x and y(Differentiation)
And some bug such as in the geometric progression is fixed.

you may not know
but i sometimes do attend formal events or formal dinner.
And at those time, i am not myself.
I talk differently and things that i talk are different.

hmmm..
So, after being able to Sin(x) and all.
I continue with inverseSin..
But there is no define function for me to use.
So, i had to create my own function.
How to create a function? wat is it?

One of it was about doing my program that calculates solutions of triangle..
The given function was Sin(X)
So, i use it.
But it didn't work..
hmmm...
crack my head whole day...,
I tried to convert the answer to degree thinking that the value i obtain from Sin(x)
was radian..
At the end i found out that i had to convert the degree to radian before placing it to Sin(x)..
haiz..
That is the effect of leaving my brain at school..

x = 56
x = 56*pi/180 <<< Converting it to radian
x = Sin(x)

Well, it looks simple..
bt it took me half of my day..
plus, i also learn bout inverse sin function.

spm lo..

Spm, is coming soon.
I started 2 feel some stress for the past few weeks.
Consequently, my dad bought a treadmill for us to use you see.
So, i thought that why not i use it to release my stress?

And then, every morning i will wake up at 5am.
get on to the treadmill and jog/run for 30minutes.
First time, i felt tired.
then, next few weeks..
i felt that the machine was somehow slower than we first bought it.
i ask my dad whether if something is wrong with it.

He ask me to run on it for him to see.
So, i did as he said.
going up 2 11.3km per hour.
i felt that it was slow.
He later told me that there is nothing wrong with it.
Its just that i got faster.
thats all..

In vb(visual Basic), it reads the code Line by Line..,
from Left to Right..
always keep these in mind..

So,
x = y
Means that x takes its value from y.
But its doesn't mean y takes its value from x.

vice-versa, for y = x.
means y takes its value from x.
But x does not takes its value from y.

Label1.caption = TextBox1.Text
From this above, label1 takes the value from TextBox1.
If lets say, you leave TextBox1 blank, and you run the code(
Label1.caption = TextBox1.Text) but you fill up Label1 wit the "Hello".
After you run the code, the word "Hello" will disappear(erase).
Why did it turn out blank?
Some of you may think that why didn't textBox1 display the word "Hello".
Here is the explanation:
1)Remember, blank or nothing is still a value.
2)TextBox1 is blank.
3)Code is read(execute) from left to right.
4)The code(Label1.caption = TextBox1.Text) is executed.
3)Label1 takes its value from textbox1 to replace its current value.
4) Therefore, Label1 becomes blank.

If you were to fill up textBox1 wit the word "Hello" and run the same code,
your label1 will display the word "Hello"

okay,
as you know about functions as i had explain previously.
in programing, object oriented programing.
it consists of function and procedure.
what is the difference u may ask?
hmm..,
in function its like: "Sum(a,b)"
bt in procedure u call it: "call Space"
well, procedure may not need any input at all.

For example:

Private Sub Form_Activate()
Dim space As Single
Dim i As Single
space = InputBox("Line spacing")

For i = 1 To space
Print 'space each line
Next i
Call line1
End Sub

Private Sub line1()
Print "-----------------------------------------------------------"
End Sub

In this above, it will skip the number of lines key in "Space".
it doesn't has input for the procedure, "Call line1"

Here is another example,
bt for this procedure there are input:

n = InputBox("age")

Functions in vb.

What is function? some of you may ask.
a function may be a formula/converter.
it requires input or object(in add math functions).
but in programing we called those parameters.(input)
then it comes out with an output. called image in add math function.
get the picture?

why do we need functions in programing?
here is an example:
this is an quadratic formula:
x = (-b±(b^2-(4*a*c))^(1/2))/(2*a)
So,ur input will be a, b and c.
Which has the output of x.
If you are creating a program which may use this formula a lot of times.
dun tell me you are gonna retype it?
even if you copy and paste, it will end up look like a mess.
u can predefine it as a function.
type the code below:

Private Function Quad(a as single, b as single, c as single) as single
Quad = (-b±(b^2-(4*a*c))^(1/2))/(2*a)
End function

So, whenever you want to use it in the same form:
you just have to type

x = Quad(a,b,c)

you just have to fill up the a,b,c.
or get their value from somewhere you wan.
its better if u use a modular and predefine the functions in it.
so, all your forms can use it=)
This is just a simple example.
bare that in mind.
i had made a very complicated function before.
if you are creative enough, you can do a function within a function.

it will make your program more structural and neat.
it also allows you to easily debug your program.

thats bout it.
the formula its actually a math's formula to make sure the number generated is within the range u want.
The important part is the "Randomize" and "*Rnd"

People like kill_me or c.k yeo will understand in jz a few seconds.

i had been sick lately.
about the competition..
we did not win.
bt at the same time, v did not lose.
coz in this case there is no lost.
v came in empty handed and came out with experience.
V are just people who try. and we will keep on trying.

well,
24th september was my birthday.
it was fun as i had a nice dinner at the curve.

I got a cake from my aunty.
A nice key-chain from my cousin brother.
A shaver that works with battery from my brother.
and a pair of ankle weights weighing 2.5kg each.
thats about it i guess.

The first one to wish me was Carlye.
who had wish me one day earlier than my birthday.
thinking that it was 23rd of september.
hw funny was tat.

as my previous post stated that there
was an error in my program.
I had fix it.
And also add something in the quadratic.
Just click algebra, then click Quadratic.

i sound like a salesman.
I haven come out with patches like what kill_me told me.
i dunno how to do that yet.
I need dll files to do that i think.

It took me almost from 6hours all together to find the solution
for the bug.
In search of the solution, i travel from websites to websites.
I had many obstacles during my journey such as 'distractions'.
hahax..
I went to those addmath's websites, forums to ancient greeks to father of math.
errmm.., bout the father of math.., its a joke k?
bt the ancient greeks thing was true.

How did i came out with the solution?
Usually we were given the shortcut to to the quadratic equation.
What i did was that i break it down to more steps so that i can find the error and bug.
The proses is like the reinventing or deriving of quadratic equation.
I also found more solution to solve the quadratic equation.
Using deductions.
I think and think and think.
Till this morning when i receive a sms from her.
And i was even more determine.
And i came out with the solution at last.

bugs...

there is a bug in my vb program..
yes..., the one tat i had send for the competition.
Under algebra.., quadratic.

thanx to c.k yeo who found tat error n told me.
i hope more people out there give me comments and report problems about my program like him.
coz i need to improve it.
here was the problem,
when you want to calculate x.
You had key in a,b,and c.
then you press calculate.
it may sometimes come out and error due to some reasons
which i am working on it.
but if you already have x and you
want to find other unknowns, its okay.

the presentation..

well...,
last week..,
on 3rd of sep 2009..
me, moses(Mun Fuong) and Kelvin(Kok Kian)..
went to cyberjaya, picom..
to present our program tat we had created for the competition..
The journey was very long to reach there.
and miss out one turning in the road in cyberjaya, will have to very far just
to make a one hell of a U-turn.

Well, when we got there.., they checked our body temperature before letting us enter.
then we waited for our turn.
at first we are the only students there.. or so we thought.
People start to wisper,"why are does 'kids' doing here?"
okay, people start staring at us...
of course that happens coz we are wearing school uniform.

and finally..., we saw a few female student.
or mayb there were actually also a few male students as well bt we weren't focusing on them.
my dad was there..., so i can't jz go ask number n all.
One of the girl, which was a prefect from damansara jaya..
is wat she had said or so i had heard.
She ask me to help her to take photograph.
Apparently, my hand are just too cold and shaky coz i wan nervous bout the presentation and i was sitting right below the air-cond.
The picture was blur coz my hands are shaky.
so i ask Kok kian to help her to take the photo instead.
He could have use that chance to get her number in fact.

One of the people who was in charge of the event ask us to feel up our details
and project name.

Anyways, back to the story..
We saw the other teams' program name.
Like "Optical Disc Simulator", "Robo Cycle", "Vibrating Earing" and many more.
i dunno man..
their program names sounds so cool and better than ours.

So, we enter the room where they called us in.
The judges.., 3 of them.
So, we borrowed labtop to present our project and also using powerpoint.
It went quite smooth.
Until my part..., i screw up..
haiz...
I can see their face expression.
The first one' face says tat this is boring.
The 2nd one's face says tat please end tis quick wil ya.
The 3rd one's face says tat God, please get me out of here.
After finish presenting.
The judges ask us questions.
And one of them, ask me hw am i going to improve it.
I answered tat i will add in log coz nw i noe hw to do it adi.
Than another one ask wether if it can produce a graph automatically.
I just answer tat i haven learn till that yet.
Allow me to explain a bit..,
in order to do tat, i have to import tools from excel.
Then i have make sure the data goes to the right place and retrieve it back.
Which it is nt as easy as it seems.

Okay, back again to the story.
Mun Fuong handles the judges' question calmly and good.
He is very good indeed in it.
Kok Kian did good as well.
Unlike me lol...

Okay, if i am nt wrong they will announce the competition result next month.

the journey... all i could see was oil palm and sawah padi.
then when i took a boat to the island.
i had lunch at the hotel which where i can see a the beautiful beach.
and some hot chicks by the beach of course.
i went to the beach later n had fun..
n swim.
at nite i heard some music.
so, i went out to check it out.
i saw a group of people dancing.
so, i join in as well..
popping, mj, locking, and breaking.
most of them lock.

2nd day, i woke up..
gt on to the van and tour around the island.
took photos..
and bought a few souvenirs.
and cycle round the place.
then went to the beach again and had fun.
at nite, i was not allowed to go out like the previous nite.

had fun for the last time.

well, so i did a improve version if that is what i called.
an improve version of the student award1.0

its the 1.1
duh...

let me talk a bit about it.
there is a disadvantage of it compare to the 1.0
is that it doesn't choose the best student for you but it will show out the results in a box and you do the comparing.
but the advantage is that it allows more entry of students.
unlike 1.0 which limits it to 6 only.

but i will upgrade 1.1 so that it will automatic choose for you.

the codes were simple.
jz used the brain.

ermm.., i wil talk a bit on inputBox in vb
it allows users to key in an entry as it promt out a box to be fill in.
an example

Okay, here is something i learn recently.
If your printer gets jam(stuck) with a paper..
what do you do?
1)Start getting panic.
2)bang the printer.
3)Start shouting for no reasons.
hahax.., of course not.
Here is what you are supposed to do.
1)Go to the printer's manual and find for the instruction for jam printer.
2)if you weren't able to find it, dun get panic.
3)Turn off the printer first.
4)wait for few minutes, then turn it on again.
5)Usually, the printer will automatically allow the paper to go through and come out.
6)If that doesn't happen, try pulling the paper slowly.
7)okay, that might not work as well.., remove the cartridge first.
8) then slowly pull the paper from there.
9)The last resort is that you have to open the printer and take out the paper from there.
10) be sure to know how to put it back to normal.
11)call the people who are incharge of the printer if you dunno what to do seriously.

In vb6.0, you can always right click the toolbox
and add components.
For example you want to make a webBrowser,
you add Microsoft Internet controls.

Always declare variable before using it.
for example,
Dim mark as single

mark = InputBox("Key in your exam marks")

In this code, when you run it
it will promt out 2 inputbox.
One for the name and another is for the marks.
"Dim" is the declaration.
now, many may ask why did i dim x as single and not as integer.
this is because integer in vb is only from -2000something to 3000something.
so, any numbers that exceed that limits wil promt and error.
Its a gud practice to dim numbers as single.
The if...then..end if code than calculates wether the number key in is more than 50.
it will than promt out and msgbox that tells the name and msg and the pass or fail wit the marks.

1)when ur marks got deducted, do you know what had u done wrong that cause it?
2)ur marks keeps on deducting, n u still dunno why.
3)they are using ms.access database to key in the e-displin thing
4)ms.access is only for small database and cannot handle big ones.
5)as a user of ms.access, i can tell you that there will be a lot of indexing problem in it. means like mismatch. that causes ur marks to minus n sometimes disappear for a while in the report.

my name disappear n appear in the next month wit 15marks gone.
before the exam, my marks was 78. during exam, i did no wrong nor did i came late.
then after the holiday. it became 72.

okay, recently a friend of mine has this win32 error poping up frequently.
This maybe due to the problem with the operating system(o.s).
Win32 also can be a virus.
Here are a few ways to solve this problem:
Solution# 1:

1. Hop to 'Run' and open 'Regedit'
2. Navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SYSTEM > CurrentControlSet > Services > Browser > Parameters
3. Find the Key
Name: IsDomainMaster
and set
Data: False
4. Restart Your PC

Solution# 2:

1. Go to 'Run' and open 'cmd'
2. Type 'netsh' in command console then press enter
3. Then type 'winsock' and press enter and then type reset
4. Restart Your PC

Solution3:
1) click Start/Run and type in sfc /scannow and press OK. Keep your XP-CD handy, it may ask for it. This will update/replace missing/broken system files.

Last day for exam for normal people like me who dun take extra weird subjects end our exam on the 9th of december.=)
well, my com gt some problem and i was busy so i did't have time for java. sorry.

Well, i'll tell ya why.
Our chances of getting "A"s in our exam has been becoming easier and easier.
Its like if u dun get "A" then it means that u r abnormal or dumb..
"Some peoples" want to see more people getting "A"s so it look as though as our country is doing well in education.
In actual fact, that made things worse than it is.
By making students getting "A's easily, it makes them think they are "smart" at times.
the worst part is tat it wil become a pressure for students to get "A"s.
Those students who gets lots of "A"s will apply to university that may not be their standard and end up not doing well.
Now a days, getting graduate from universities are easy especially local ones.
And some cert can't get you anywhere bt where u are nw from where u start.
Those graduate may think that with the cert they can get a easy job with high pay easily. In your dreams la.
1) a lot of graduate may think that they will be getting easy jobs with the cert.
2)they want high pay and easy job.
3)nobody wants to employ this kind of people.
4)they then search for labour jobs wanting high pay.
5)they get rejected.
6)they then blame the foreigners.

Well, its easier if you put the blame on others.
then now the "Some people" gives them job.

The news got report that about 100-200thousand graduate did't have job.
But wait, they did't actually see 100-200thousand graduate out of how many graduates.
In fact, its only like 20% at most or less.
And the fact that most of the ones in the 100-200thousand are lazy and waiting for the job to come to them or waiting for the sky to fall money(maybe).

Now, they are gonna change math and science back to bahasa melayu.
haiz, the world is evolving(changing) and getting better. Its nt gonna remain stationary.
In other words, evolution.
But "some people" dun understand this changes that were made so we can join the worlds' change to get better.
Saying that we won't love our country if use english.
okay, maybe that is true.
But look at the whole thing, that is just one point.
If we learn math and science in english, we can become better.

backup 3 times also..duh..
it crashes 3 times...

first time format today coz some incompatible software(software that are not suitable for your o.s) Btw, when i format one of my partition it end up formating both my hardrive partition.

second time was coz some error while instaling the hardware.

third time coz of some improper shutdown.

Okay, there maybe few reasons why your com will turn lagy:
1) you used up more than 90% of your hardrive space.
2)your computer ram is too low.
3)the game that you are playing may have use very high graphics that your com can't take it.
4)you had too much run-time program for example:anti-spywares, anti-virus, msn..(those program that are running on the bottom right of your screen.)

Its always best to keep a backup with you for your hardrive.
I always keep setups like avast, mozilla firefox, adobe reader, msn messenger.(basic needs)

Net-Worm.Win32.Kido.ih : This network worm spreads via local networks and removable storage media. When it copies itself to remote computers, the worm creates a temporary file with a random extension. The program itself is a Windows PE DLL file. The worm components vary in size from 155KB to 165KB. It is packed using UPX.

The one with the .ih is quite dangerous coz it may copy itself to remote computers and with random extension.

How to protect yourself:

For those that don noe bout the Juzt Reboot, here is about it:
1) Juzt Reboot is a software that reloads everything back to its initial status when you turn off the pc and turn it on again.
2)This means that you can't change anything in that pc with that software.
3)Deleting anything still will comeback.
4) It sometimes comes as a card(hardware)

Our School pcs in the makmal komputer has that software except pusat akses.

i had this 'thing' that won't allow me to stay up late til 2am.
If i do so, my hold body will experience a full body shutdown.

Its kinda weird, but initially when i first experience it at the age of 14, it was scary back there.

Tips of the day in ict: If you are afraid of your pendrive being infected by virus when you are using it to present something to someone/client,here is what you can do. If and only if you are presenting something as in read only files, you can always use a cd-rom. Burn your file into it and present. You can use it till the disc is full and use a new one then. CD-rom are cheap now a days. Virus can't infect cd-rom coz it needs to burn to into it which requires a burner hardware and its your choice to burn things to the cd and not the virus. You can safely bring it back home and put in new files. If you find it troublesome to keep on changing cd-rom, you can always buy cd-rw(rewritable) though its more expensive.

Exam was kinda hard as i did not have enough time to study.

Tips of the day: All ways save a backup of your pendrive in your pc.Usually after using your pendrive at somewhere else will end up having an extra "luggage" called virus.
Anywayz, for those who are in Maluri School, just to let you know that our school main server has been affected by 2 virus. Namely Win32...exe(its a worm virus that travels via pendrive) and forever.exe(i dunno what it does but it won't disappear till i format it).

Anywayz, as i had mention that you have to master the properties before you do the coding.

Well, If..then..end if was quite useful though

Example:

If Combo1.text = "Okay" Then

The code means that in combobox1, if i choose "Okay", then "Thank you" will appear at label1.
I had to use caption for label and not text instead coz i am using visual basic 6.0.
That ict teacher of mine insist on using that ancient program.
I would prefer visual basic express though.

There is another method instead of using if..then..end if
We can also use case:

Example:

Human created it(data miner) for a good purpose at the beginning for the greater good.
But human are just too complicated sometimes that they then manipulated it and abuse it for their own purpose or bad intentions.

Have you actually install a lot of softwares in your pc and then uninstalling them?
well, thinking that when you uninstalling them like that would just be enough?
No, if you keep it up, your registery editor(regedit) will be a total mess!!

As you had known about force boot(refer to previous post).
You can also make it boot to safe mode and there will be a administrator account
which doesn't requires password.
Well, in another method of loging in without password is when you see the user accounts
for you to log in, you just press Ctrl+Alt+Del+Del(hold on to the Ctrl and Alt while pressing Del twice.
It will pop out a box asking you to key in the user name and password.
Just type in "Administrator" and without password and enter.
There you go.
Wanna hear some gud news and bad news?
Gud news is that you can hack in like that.
But the bad news is that if a person sets a password for that invisible account, then you can no longer log in by using either way i had shown.
why?
Cause both of the admin are the same.

force boot..

ok, someone ask a request that i post about force boot in a pc.
Practically when you turn on your pc it will automatically boot to your
hard drive in order to load data or information to your pc.
You usually will see a blue/green line moving from left to right with your computer logo. That shows that it is loading/booting from your hard drive.

Well, what i am gonna explain is how to force boot it to cd or pendrive or floopy(if u r still using 1).

1)When you turn on your pc, before the part where your screen shows the booting to your hard drive, you will see some bios(basic input output system) on your screen.

2)You then press the "del" button. It will then appear an option on your screen asking where do you wanna boot the pc from. Some computers are required to press "F10".

3)You then choose cd-rom or floopy.

In another way, a long way.
It is more troublesome though.

1) Press "F12" at the begining. It will then lead you to the bios set up.

2)You then go to something called "boot option".

3)You then alter the the boot option in a way that its first boot priority is the cd-rom that you want or floopy.

4)Dun forget to press F10 when you are done editing. It is to safe your settings.Always press F10 whenever you edit something in bios.Usually F7 allows you to set the bios settings back to default.

Bios come in handy at times.
It has a option that allowed you to allow the com to use certain hardware that you are not able to use in your com. Just go to "Integrated peripherals" instead of "boot option".

It will shows a list of hardware. All you need to do is to enable it.
There are some computer that auto restart after using some amount of time.
Here might be one of the reason behind it:

There is a option in a bios that shows that at which when the computer reach certain temperature, it will auto restart. You just need to edit it.
But if that keep on even though you change it already, You better get your computer a new fan or intercooler.

before you learn the syntax, there is another thing you should master first.
Its the properties of the objects that you add.
Its useful.
For example,
When you add a textbox, you will see in the properties of it at the right
of your screen.
In that properties, one of it is "name", it is the name user will see when you run it.
Basically you will leave it blank.
As for its "(name)", it is the name you use for the textbox for you to called it when you write the coding.
So, you can type in "textbox1" in the "(name)".
Well, other properties and object you can explore yourself via online tutors which has better explanation then me.

Such as creating a web browser, calculator, and some form.
The problem started when i was request to do a project with VB6.0
